About
The daily devotions are written by Her Holiness the Nisut (AUS) and include prayers and special practices for the faithful, corresponding to the Kemetic Orthodox calendar.

From 1994-1999, the daily devotions had been available exclusively to followers of the House of Netjer. We share them now with the general public so that all may learn from these enlightening and thought-provoking missives.

"Cairo Calendar" Entry:
Djehuty establishes the nobles in advanced position....

I have returned from our pilgrimage to Egypt in time for the Wesir Mysteries, one of the holiest times of our Kemetic year.

In this festival we celebrate the life, the death, and the re-life in the Duat of the beloved god Wesir, Who as Sokar gave His life in order that life might continue, and as Wesir guides the dead as their king and their protector. At this time we honor the mysterious forces of life, the ability of life to continue beyond death, and the ties of community and people at harvest.

Whether you will be joining us for our celebration of the Mysteries here at Tawy next weekend or you are celebrating them at home with your family wherever you might be, may it be a quiet but beautiful holiday for you, a time to share food and stories, joy and warmth and love in the name of He Who loves us all very much and sustains our life both in this world and the next.

Dua Wesir! Dua Sokar! Dua Ptah! Nekhtet!

Thought for the Day:
Wednesday evening about 40 people were present for our Shemsu Naming Ceremony! We say a huge nekhtet for the three newest Shemsu of Kemet:
Merutihethert of Illinois
Tabauamunet of Texas and
Ubatitui of Florida

"Cairo Calendar" Entry:
The gods are in jubilation and in joy, when the will is made for Heru son fo Wesir, to propitiate Unnefer in the necropolis. Then as the land is in festivity, the gods are pleased. If you see anything today, it will be good.

The gods continue to be in festival as we ready to enter the final month of the first season of our Kemetic Orthodox year 14. Great feasts in honor of Heru-wer and His wife Hethert are being celebrated and this is a time to give thanks for love and joy, health and success. Additionally there are festivals for Wesir in His Name of Unnefer (the Beautiful One) and the creator gods as the universe is re-established for a new season.

The Inundation whose signs were read at Wep Ronpet comes in fully now, restoring what was lost in the summer, renewing and refreshing. Drink deeply of this second wind, this new water that replenishes, and renew and refresh blessings in your own lives.

May you have all good things in these days of glory.

Dua Hethert! Dua Heru-wer! Dua Heru-sa-Aset! Dua Heru-ankhu! Nekhtet!

Thought for the Day:
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."
Theodore Roosevelt
