About
The daily devotions are written by Her Holiness the Nisut (AUS) and include prayers and special practices for the faithful, corresponding to the Kemetic Orthodox calendar.

From 1994-1999, the daily devotions had been available exclusively to followers of the House of Netjer. We share them now with the general public so that all may learn from these enlightening and thought-provoking missives.

(Year 14, Paenopet 25 - II Akhet 25)

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown!
May your coming be peaceful.

God(s) of the Month: Taweret and Ptah
Current Decan: 6: Tjemat-teryt, "Upper Field"
Today's Festival(s):
Opet Festival, Day 9
Feast of Ptah
Feast of Heka

Say heru em meses nefer (Happy birthday!) to:
- Remetj Michelle N. in Missouri (Thursday)
- Shemsut Yinepuemsaes in New Jersey (yesterday)
- Shemsut Ityetbastmut in Tennessee (yesterday)

"Cairo Calendar" Entry:
Do not go out on this day on any road. It is the day of finding the children of Bedesh wrapped in a mat on their sides. If any lion looks for the gods on this day, he will suffer from the trampling of a bull on this day until he dies.

As Opet continues, and we celebrate the uniting of Amun-Ra and Mut and the birthday of the Kingly Ka, we celebrate festivals for Ptah the Creator and Heka Who is magic, the magic of intentional speaking.

Make sure that whatever you say today has meaning. Even if you don't think it does...Heka may just make it so. Words and intentions, or words and thoughts, have power. Use this power to your advantage and speak only Ma'at, so that Ma'at might return to you.

I bless you in the name of these holy gods and pray that your words manifest only good.

Dua Amun-Ra! Dua Mut! Dua Ptah! Dua Heka! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown!
May your coming be peaceful.

God(s) of the Month: Taweret and Ptah
Current Decan: 6: Tjemat-teryt, "Upper Field"
Today's Festival(s):
Opet Festival, Day 6
Feast of 17-23 Paenopet, Day 6

Say heru em meses nefer (Happy birthday!) to:
- Remetj Vanessa C. in Tennessee (24 September)
- Shemsut Bastirdis in Finland and Remetj Demagius K. in Kentucky (25 September)
- Remetj A. Lynn N. in Washington (yesterday)

"Cairo Calendar" Entry:
Do not bathe on this day. It is the day of the cutting of the tongue of the enemy of Sobek, son of Nit.

We continue the celebration of Opet (concurrent with the New Moon of this month) and the eight-day feast surrounding the Flight of the Distant Goddess (Tefnut, Sekhmet and/or Hethert depending on the myth cycle) which is the mythological explanation for our Autumnal Equinox.

The seasons change and with them we change. Ma'at is the only constant in a world that is governed by movement and change. Her safety net will always catch us...if only we allow ourselves to fall fully in.

May the great gods of these holidays, the blessed wedding couple of Uaset, the Eye of Ra, and Sobek Who is invoked in the ancient calendars as victorious on this day grant you peace and blessings. May it be a good day.

Dua Amun-Ra! Dua Mut! Dua Tefnut! Dua Sekhmet! Dua Hethert! Dua Sobek! Nekhtet!

Rejoice as three groups of nine gods, the great followers of Wesir, Ra, and Amun-Ra, traverse the earth trying to convince the Distant Goddess not to go south for the winter. Many gods are about today and tomorrow at the New Moon preceding the Equinox on Saturday we also begin the great festival of Opet, marriage feast of Amun-Ra and Mut and the birthday of the kingly ka.

It is a time where there are literally gods everywhere you look, everywhere you listen and in anything you feel. Be aware with all of your senses, seen and unseen, and do not miss the blessings in the next few days as they bring rich rewards in the next season.

I pray in the name of these very mighty gods, and Nit the Matrix of all, that you are filled with happiness, blessing and prosperity. May it be a wonderful weekend. May the feeding of your kau be lavish and rich.

The first two of the four Sons of Heru, Netjeri of Heru-sa-Aset and Wesir, are celebrated in their four-day festival today leading into the time of the Distant Goddess coming at the autumnal equinox in a week. We honor our blessed dead whom the Four Sons guard and protect, and Wesir Whom They announce and herald. Pour cool water in the names of these Netjeri and ask Them to keep the communciation open between you and your Akhu and the Unseen World.

After a very busy start to our year things are slowing down a bit so there should be more devotions and more teachings again. I appreciate the patience I have been given by all of you and hope to make up the lack of communication quickly.

May you be content this weekend, safe in the hands of your spirits and gods.

Dua Duamutef! Dua Qebshenuef! Nekhtet!

As we enter the second month of the Inundation many new things are being promised, challenged, and done. May all of your creations come to fruition and be more successful than you even dream.
