Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown!
In the meantime, join Her in praying this prayer for each of you, a prayer that appears in Her upcoming Ancient Egyptian Prayerbook: Prayer to Amun to protect one’s family, from a hymn attributed to Nisut Taharka (Dynasty 25) at Karnak Temple
O Amun, protect my spouse.

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! The second half of our last season of the year is in full swing. People feel a push to achieve, to complete, to show what they have been working on over the last two and a half seasons. It is a time when the spirit of hard work and competition runs high. I know that the children of Netjer have many successes to contemplate and celebrate, many plans to finish, and many projects to fulfill. In the whirl of the wind that winnows the grain, the chaff is separated from the kernel, the center that nourishes. In the whirl of that wind, it can be hard to hear anything but the movement of the wheat, or to see anything with specks of dust and chaff in your eyes. Do not lose pace, but also, do not lose concentration and intent when working from within that whirl. Just because there is a compulsion to completetion doesn't mean completion is here yet -- in fact, we have two months to go. Efficiency here is not nearly as important as getting the job done the right way the first time, whatever that job is. I pray to Netjer in Its name of Wesir that you are able to retain the gift of patience within the gift of feeling that ever-present push toward growth, and so are able to make the most of both gifts. Dua Netjer! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! I've been getting a great deal more prayers and letters lately. I enjoy each one, so please, don't stop sending them. It's very nice to know how everyone is, and if there's anything I can help with (or, alternatively, to be able to celebrate with someone when a success is had!) My life is enriched by all the things that each of you share with me, and I wanted to thank you for that. Today on this day between holidays, take out some simple time for yourself, and be alone with the universe. Let Netjer speak to you in silence -- but pay attention to what you hear. Dua Netjer! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! The Great Nine Sail Repeatedly It's a big day. Netjer is everywhere -- perhaps in the form of your nearest stranger. Pay attention to who you talk to today, what you learn. There are surprises on every corner! Here we are gearing up for our big annual trip to Kashi Ashram in Florida at the end of the week, to help them celebrate the 25th anniversary of their ministry, and also the birthday of guru Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati. We will be talking with some people about our wonderful new Udjat Foundation, and expanding interfaith connections in new ways. I'll miss all of you while we're gone but you'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Dua Netjer! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! Saq-Heru, Feasts of Menhyt and Bast, Purifications of Sekhmet We've been trying to gather up all the photographs from the Sekhmet Seven Arrows Weekend at Tawy last weekend, and there are still more to come! I think we'll put together a nice photo essay for you. In the meantime, however, here's a link to a few really fun photos of the Seven Arrows Baths ritual itself. An altar gets set up for Sekhmet. Many thanks to Remetj Michelle B. for her donation of the long table, and artist Tufani Mayfield for a very beautiful painting of Sekhmet standing behind Her image! Sekhmet (in the vessel of Imakhu Niankh, in red to the left) begins to talk to the bath candidates as Nisut (AUS) pours blessing water and Kai-Imakhu Nakht looks on. John receives his prosperity bath from Hethert (in the vessel of Imakhu Niankh) as Nisut (AUS) and Kai-Imakhu Nakht assist and the rest of the candidates look on. Biayt feels the effects of the Wesir bath. Nisut (AUS) speaks blessings over Meteru's head. Aset's magic-granting bath proves a little cold for Beni! That Amun-Ra bath must really have a kick! The Sekhmet baths can be done "on the road" if groups are interested. Please contact Tawy House if you are interested in hosting a Sehkmet Seven Arrows Bath Ceremony. Seven baths bestow all sorts of power and blessing! I pray today in the names of Heru, Menhyt, Bast and Sekhmet that you are pure in all ways, whether or not you were a bath candidate last week. May They all bless you richly! Dua Heru! Dua Menhyt! Dua Bast! Dua Sekhmet! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! Feast of the Udjat (Sacred Eye) Our long-awaited day of announcement has come. In conjunction with the Feast of the Udjat, a symbol of Netjer's protection and love, I am delighted to announce the formation of the Udjat Foundation, a Kemetic Orthodox charity dedicated to serving children. Udjat Foundation's first act, besides issuing a formal mission statement from its chairman and getting geared up to add its own website, will be to provide financial assistance to a family of six in Utah. With four young children, three of whom are autistic, this struggling family will now be enabled to move into a new home of their choosing. This miracle was enabled by the generous intervention of Udjat Foundation donors, whose generous gift will provide this family with one year's housing costs so they can achieve financial stability once again. The Udjat Foundation is also seeking more children-related issues to dedicate its time and resources toward, including those helping children in Haiti, a special concern of mine since we started interfaith work in the south of that country last year; and also for children in Egypt and elsewhere in the world as well as children who need our help right in our own neighborhoods. It was so very hard to keep this secret for the past week! I hope it was worth the wait and that you are as excited about this new direction of our service to the world as I am! May the Udjat, Netjer's sacred Eye, great goddess of protection, grant Her blessings upon our foundation and our work for the innocent children of our planet. Dua Udjat! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! Heru inquires from Wesir-Unnefer Our faith is growing, yet again! We send greetings and our love to Heruemperyt and Robb, proud parents of Alia, born early this morning. Alia joins a brother in the faith born just four months ago, Meteru and Christi's son Nikolas, my niece Emily at the end of March (not in the faith but certainly part of our family), and there seem to be many babies arriving and on the way around us! It's very exciting to have so many children coming into our families. To me, it is a very concrete sign of Netjer's pleasure, and of the future of our faith and our world. Dua-Netjer for new children and new parents. May all of them be blessed and protected. Dua Heru! Dua Wesir! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! Geb and Nut are Judged before the Netjeru I can't tell you anything else about the special announcement coming up, except that you can expect it to be made on Tuesday, May 14, for reasons you'll understand, well....on Tuesday, May 14! Today we honor a holiday noting the separation of Geb (personified as Father Earth) and Nut (Mother Sky) -- quite literally the holiday of the beginning of the planet as we know it. Give thanks today anywhere upon Geb and under Nut for the world we inhabit. Dua Geb! Dua Nut! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! There's a lot of excitement building behind the scenes in my House. I can't tell you exactly why yet, but I can assure you that it'll be something that warms your heart and makes you want to jump up and down in excitement right alongside us. Our faith is about to embark on a new and extremely gratifying venture -- and you're all going to hear about it very soon. Watch this space. Dua Netjer! Nekhtet!

Last Day of the Kemetic Month You know how people say "God loves you" and it seems overused? I don't think it can ever be overused. For God does love you. Personally, totally, and unconditionally. The Netjer Who made Itself into millions gives Its love to the millions via Its Names, the gods and goddesses of legend and reality. This love is the backbone of the universe, and the center of our faith. This love is something I want to remind you about today. I pray in the name of Min, ever-established, that you know you are loved. Dua Min! Nekhtet!
