Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! Fifty-five invitations went out yesterday to the applicants for our next Beginners' Group. If you have put in an application and have not heard from us, please contact my office for more information! This next group adds two more countries (Thailand and Switzerland) to the places where members of the Kemetic Orthodox Faith reside, and adds a considerable number of other international members in the already-established member countries of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, South Africa, Sweden and the U.K. We are definitely excited! It's hard to believe that I started my teaching with a handful of people in a college dormitory only 15 years ago....and today we have hundreds of devotees on every continent of the planet. Nekhtet to the gods and goddesses for bringing us all together! May you find blessing in this end of the Kemetic month and the secular month, as we turn toward a new festival season very soon. Dua Netjer! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! Saq-Heru It is a day of power, a day of justice, a day of courage. Heru walks the earth, in His form as Heru-wer, Eldest of the Heru gods. His sword spares no head that needs taking; His sandals crush all those who dare defy Ma'at. He is strong, powerful -- and yet loving, fierce and gentle, humorous in His way. May He bless you today and appear in glory in all of your lives. Dua Heru! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! Opening the Windows of the Court While it's still a little on the cold side to be opening up all the windows in the temple, we've opened a few slightly and now, we are starting the big "spring cleaning" projects in the shrines and halls of our retreat center. It's time to get ready for the better weather and more guests! The next few months promise great work here in the faith, with more publications and courses coming out of our Imhotep Seminary, the high Kemetic holidays celebrated in the latter half of our year, and various festivals, intensives, and gatherings not only locally but worldwide. I'm looking forward to my own meeting with members on the East Coast at the end of April, as I make a formal presentation at the American Research Center in Egypt meeting in Boston. We're also trying to plan at least one gathering in each major area our members find themselves through the end of Year 12. Contact your Imy-ra for more information! On the Daily Ma'at list, we are meditating upon and getting to know the great god Djehuty this week. Join us if you wish by joining the list using the button below! May the great gods be satisfied with our purifications as we make everything clean and new, and may They grant us all blessing in this time. Dua Netjer! Nekhtet!

May He bring justice and victory in your life, and may you feel His blessings as sure as the sun upon your face as you venture outside today. I pray in the name of this very great god that He is manifest in your life in all your challenges and offers His support, strength and courage. May you always know He is there. Dua Heru-Behdety! Saq-Wesir as the Userhat comes from Nun Tawy House was a busy place this weekend. Since all of our guests for the Netjeri intensive were priests (W'abu or Imakhu), we focused on special training and research pertaining to each personal vocation. While this made our intensive that much more intense...it had some very good results. I am honored, and proud, to announce that our Imakhu Sesha (Rev. Dave) is now an It-Netjer, or trained possessionary priest, for his spiritual Mother, Seshat-Nit-Nebthet. Nekhtet! I am also proud and excited to announce that the final edits for the newest book of the Imhotep Kemetic Orthodox Seminary were approved by the editorial board and the book itself will be in print later this week. Nekhtet! Watch our websites for an announcement. This week will be filled with lots of news, as we graduate a class of beginners and begin our next set of beginners in their introductory lessons, give Shemsu Names to new Shemsu and Root Names to children of the faith, and other milestones of our faith community. It's a very exciting, and gratifying, time to be here. Nekhtet for all of you. As the boat of Amun carries the great Ra back into the sky at the moment of Zep Tepi, may it bring new and fresh excitement into your life with all of its sacred power. Dua Wesir! Dua Heru! Nekhtet!

Processions of Djehuty, Nesert and Khnum-Ra Great gods are in the world today, bringing wisdom, protection, creative power and strength to the fore. Djehuty offers us all the knowledge we will ever need -- if only we can ask. Nesert offers us the flame of righteousness that brings peace -- if only we are true. Khnum-Ra offers us imagination and the ability to bring our dreams to life -- if only we dare. Heru offers us a strong arm to climb up -- if only we have courage. Be fully yourself on this day and take up the blessings of these four gods. Know that They will never judge you, never fail you, and never abandon you no matter who you are or where you roam. Be full in the knowledge, peace, imagination and courage of yourself and rejoice. Dua Djehuty! Dua Nesert! Dua Khnum-Ra! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! "The Eye of Ra calls the Shemsu" The Eye of Ra, great goddess with many names and attributes, walks the earth today. She calls the Shemsu, those people who have dedicated their lives to the service of their gods and goddesses, the Deities of Kemet. What does She have to say to you today? It is an excellent day to make vows, to renew vows, or to contemplate vows. This evening, in our Dua ceremony, we will rejoice with Amun-Ra, King of the Gods, Lord of the Thrones of the Two Lands, and praise His name in this His most excellent year. I pray in the name of great Ra and His Eye that you are happy, healthy and satisfied, and may They both bring you peace and joy, honor and prosperity all days and not just this one, whether you are a Shemsu, may become a Shemsu one day, or don't even know what the word means! Dua Iryt Ra! Dua Ra! Nekhtet!

Saq-Nit at nighttime This week we are beginning a special series on the Daily Ma'at list concerning the gods and goddesses. We'll be spending one week meditating upon and getting to know a particular Deity, in order to learn what each has to offer us in terms of blessings and lessons. Please consider joining this list if you haven't already. Later this week there will also be a special announcement about yet another publication from the Imhotep Kemetic Orthodox Seminary. This evening, I also begin an off-line Middle Egyptian reading course open by invitation to those who live in the Chicago area who can already read the language. At the end of this week, we'll be hosting students and guests for our Netjeri Intensive weekend here at Tawy. Things are busy as usual in our nation, but we still take time to honor the gods and goddesses and pray for each of you. Consider sending in a prayer or posting your thoughts on our message boards, or just honoring the gods of this day in your shrine. May Nit and the great Heru bring you the warmth and joy of love on this holy night. Dua Nit! Dua Heru! Nekhtet!

Bless all the children of Netjer, known and unknown! In the quiet stillness before dawn, names are spoken, and the universe begins. It is the same today as it is every day. Each Zep Tepi comes and brings with it ultimate promise, ultimate renewal -- and ultimate possibility. Use yours well. Dua Netjer! Nekhtet!

First Day of the Kemetic Month Many gods come out today on the day of Tawy, the Two Lands. Nekhtet! We give special offerings on behalf of our spiritual nation today in the temple building that bears its name. This month is also special in Kemetic Orthodoxy as it marks the month the House of Netjer became a legally recognized temple in the United States (February, 1994). Nekhtet! We give thanks to all the people, past and present, who have been a part of our spiritual home. As the Great Ones shine forth on this day marking the beginning of the year's second half, may you receive all of Their blessings. They are speaking, perhaps not in the ways you might expect Them to speak, but in the silence of an open heart, They have much to share. Dua Tawy! Dua Amun! Dua Heru! Dua Ptah! Dua Heri-sha-ef! Dua Khnum! Dua Ra! Nekhtet!

Feast of Amun, Day 10 (1st) We have come to the end of the second month of Peret, and thus to the middle point of the Kemetic year. It's been a wild one so far -- many changes, many challenges and many good things have happened to our family and to the world since Wep Ronpet in August. What will come in the second half of Amun and Sekhmet's year? What would you like to happen? Use today as a day to give offering to your gods, spirits and ancestors to secure the things you want in the second half of Year 12 and to discourage those things you don't want or don't need. I pray in the names of the great gods of these days, Amun and Ptah in Their Festival and Ra, Heru and Wesir of the last day of each month, for Their protection and blessing upon all who read these words. Dua Amun! Dua Ptah! Dua Ra! Dua Heru! Dua Wesir! Nekhtet!

Feast of Amun, Day 9 As the great gods continue Their mid-year festival, we honor Wesir and His people, the Blessed Dead, our Akhu. I will be speaking all the names of our Akhu in the shrines today in their memory and giving them offerings on our behalf. May they, and we, continue to be close and helpful to each other. Dua Amun! Dua Ptah! Dua Wesir! Dua Akhu! Nekhtet!
