Feast of Amun, Day 7 and 8 Feast of Ptah, Day 7 and 8 Saq-Min
The great god Min, sometimes considered to be an alternative form of Amun, is honored this weekend in His procession and ritual appearance.
There is a special creative spark in the air.
Can you fan it into a mighty flame?

Feast of Amun, Day 6 Feast of Ptah, Day 6
As the Victory Festival ends for another year, we continue to honor the Two Hidden Creators, Amun and Ptah. Both represent the power latent in speech, that ability each of us has to speak our world into being according to the desires of our own hearts.
What will you speak into being today?
I pray that both of these mighty gods grant you Their blessing in all your creative works. May they shine as brightly as the sun.
Dua Amun! Dua Ptah! Nekhtet!

Feast of Heru-Shu, Day 2 Feast of Amun, Day 2 Feast of Ptah, Day 2 Feast of Victory, Day 2
Today, take some time in your shrine to give thanks.
Thank your ancestors, without whom you would not be here to give thanks!
Thank your gods and goddesses for all They have done, are doing, and will continue to do for you and those you love.
Thank all the people in your life who make you think.
Thank all the people in your life who don't realize that they've done something important for you. (Better yet -- thank them personally after you get out of the shrine!)
When you're done giving all those thanks... thank yourself.
May the great gods of these holy festivals show you Their gratitude and multiply your own.
Dua Heru-Shu! Dua Amun! Dua Ptah! Nekhtet!

Feast of Heru-Shu, Day 1 Feast of Amun, Day 1 Feast of Ptah, Day 1 Feast of Victory, Day 1 Procession of Hethert to Pakhet
Mekhir, victory, is upon us!
Amun, Ptah and Heru-Shu, mighty gods, join victory in celebration!
The Hidden, the Unmoveable, and the One-Who-Blows-Everywhere are all in festival during this holy week, celebrating as Hethert approaches the city of Pakhet and renews Her warmth and light to Kemet and its modern temple center in the United States, bringing the promise of a return to life after a long, cold winter.
Rejoice that these great gods are here among us, and reap Their blessings. I pray in the names of all these gods, and the mighty lady Hethert, that joy, prosperity, health, and all good things are yours today in the Victory Festival and throughout this year.
Dua Heru-Shu! Dua Amun! Dua Ptah! Dua Hethert! Nekhtet!

The Goddess of Heaven Goes South to the Road
Hethert, Eye of Ra, Lady of Heaven, shifts in the sky, and begins bringing forth spring in one hemisphere and autumn in another. In ancient times, this was the herald of longer, warmer days and the season of growing truly being ready to begin -- today we honor it as such a season and a season for laying the final groundwork of our Kemetic year's challenges, as we enter that year's halfway point.
As Her light shifts, may we be grateful for Her whether She is coming or going, leaving or staying, knowing that in the full circle of Zep Tepi She will come (or leave) again at the appointed time.
There is a great joy in the lady Who is the daytime sky and its sunshine, manifest in a million different goddesses. Make this joy part of your life.
Dua Hethert! Nekhtet!

"Aset is awakened by Ra"
As the sun rises, as the day begins, power is awakened.
Today that power is manifest in the great goddess Aset, Mistress of Magic, owner of Ra's Secret Name. She rises and is brilliant in the force of Her power, the power of Ma'at and all the universe brought together in the divine seat, the throne of kings and the bridge between gods and men.
As She awakens, She offers you an awakening of your own power.
Will you accept it?

Rekeh Wer, Day 4 (15th) Saq-Sekhmet (16th)
The holiday of the Great Burning ends with a visit from the Great Flame Herself, mighty Sekhmet of the Fire of Ra. She comes to bring justice and appropriateness wherever it is needed, to help us to heal ourselves as we heal the world.
May She come to you and bring you joy this weekend and all the days of this Her year.

Thought for the Day: I'm proud to announce the fifth anniversary of the ordination of Kai-Imakhu Inibmutes, priest of Aset-Serqet on the 14th and the additional appointment of three new Mut-netjer priests: Imakhu Neferuhethert, Imakhu Sedjemes and W'abet Sekhmetresut who all completed Saq training this weekend at the temple during our Sekhmet Heka intensive. Rekeh Wer, Day 3 Feast of Nit Procession of Sobek
One of the oldest festivals of our faith is upon us, the Rekeh Wer or "great burning" of Heru-wer. In the bonfires or even in candlelight, may you feel His warmth and warming strength within you.
Nit and Sobek, the Red Ones of the North, also walk the world today and bring Their strength and protection. May They bless you in all the ways you require and even some you might not!
I give thanks to these mighty gods to be able to resume my ministry with you this week, and hope that you all enjoy the holiday. We're about to start our Sekhmet Heka weekend intensive at Tawy House, and it is a good time to invoke that warm, healing goddess. May She bless you richly as well.

Daily Devotions from Her Holiness Nisut Hekatawy I (ankh udja seneb) January 5, 2005
Daily Devotions will be unavailable until Wednesday, January 12, due to Hemet (AUS)'s recuperation after an automobile accident. Daily Ma'at mailing list will also resume at this time and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Her Holiness is resting, frustrated at having been ordered offline by the doctor, and sends her love and gratitude for all who have sent their love and their prayers. She asks us to remind everyone to wear their seat belts and be very careful driving in bad weather. While Her vehicle was completely destroyed in the crash, She walked away under Her own power with relatively minor injury.

First Day of the Kemetic Month Ptah Lifts Ra's Heaven Lunar Festival of Sokar-Wesir-Unnefer Boat Procession of Yinepu
In the day, Ptah the Builder lifts up the sky, and the mighty Sun within it.
In the evening, Ra becomes Sokar-Wesir, the Beautiful, and shines through the night.
Yinepu traverses both skies, seen and unseen, in His boat, and is content.
May you wake, sleep, and journey with gods on this very holy day.
